“We love March because spring is in the air.”

March brings spring flowers, warmer weather and every kids favourite time of the school year, Spring Break! Spring Break is a great time for families to have a chance to spend more time together.

There are plenty of activities happening in Cloverdale this March. Here are a few that we thought you may enjoy.

Family Fun Nights in Cloverdale

Looking for plans on Friday nights? Join us for an evening filled with family-fun at recreation facilities in Cloverdale! All events are free to attend.

Don Christian Recreation Centre
When: March 8th at 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Where: Family game night at Don Christian Recreation Centre
What: Join us for crafts, mini gym equipment and a DIY fruit smoothie bar.

When: March 8th at 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Where: Healthy Hearts at Don Christian Recreation Centre
What: Join us for board games, cards and activities.

Cloverdale Recreation Centre
March 15th at 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Where: Family Fun Night at Cloverdale Recreation Centre
What: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early and join us for a night of everything green! Join a scavenger hunt and discover a surprise at the end of the rainbow!

What: Bring your pillows and blankets and join us for a Family Movie Night.

Museum of Surrey Cloverdale March 2019

Museum of Surrey

The calendar of events scheduled at Museum of Surrey is full, vibrant and always free. Here is a list of what’s happening at the museum in March:

When: Feb 23 to March 9th 1:00pm to 4:00pm
What: Kids Can: Batik. Learn batik, the ancient Indonesian art using dye and wax. During the two sessions, kids create their own colourful masterpieces with new friends and a patient teacher.

When: March 16th at 1:00pm to 4:00pm
What: Celtic Fest. Be entertained by Irish fiddlers and Scottish accordian music. Or even get your feet moving with Irish jigs courtesy of the Steele School of Irish Dance. Kids can get creative with Celtic crafts and try their Irish luck with a scavenger hunt in the galleries.

When: March 19th to 22nd at 10:00am to 1:00pm & March 26th to 29th at 10:00am to 1:00pm
What: Spring Break Dinosaur Days. Kids will experience everything dinosaur at this free, all ages drop-in. They will make dino crafts, go on a dinosaur hunt, touch fossils and try on dinosaur feet. Planned games include pin the tail on the dinosaur, dinosaur bean bag toss and dinosaur BINGO. The Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit will also be open during activities.

March 24th at 10:00am to 12:00pm
What: Yoga at the Museum. Enjoy an instructor led Hatha Yoga session before the museum opens to the public. Afterward, enjoy refreshments and a tour of the galleries. 16yrs+.
